Motion Picture Collection

Containing more than 350,000 materials, the oldest dating back to the 1890s, the UCLA Film & Television Archive's motion picture holdings include major 35mm collections from Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Sony/Columbia Pictures, New World Pictures, Orion Pictures, Universal, RKO and Republic Pictures. In addition, the Archive's 16mm film collections contain more than 5,000 titles. Films have also been received from hundreds of individuals, including Robert Altman, Hal Ashby, Mayme A. Clayton, Donna Deitch, Cecil B. DeMille, Arthur Dong, Cheryl Dunye, Todd Hayne, Dustin Hoffman, Rock Hudson, Ken Kesey, Stanley Kramer, Liza Minnelli, Rosalind Russell, John Sayles, Sandi Tan, King Vidor, Hal Wallis, William Wyler and Loretta Young.
