Title:

"Councilman Tom Bradley and Congressman Alphonzo Bell discuss a bill to create a national park"

Date:
May 22, 1972

Synopsis

In a press conference, Congressman Alphonzo E. Bell, Jr. announces councilman Tom Bradley has accepted the chairmanship of a committee of inner-city leaders to round up support for creation of the park. The chance of receiving a significant federal contribution for the project is largely based on the ability to demonstrate broad-based support for the park from all potential voters. Bradley states he has been supportive of parks in inner-city areas, and he is pleased to support the Bell Bill that would create a national park in the Santa Monica Mountains serving 10 million people. Includes silent shots of cameramen, Bell and Bradley talking and reporters.
