Archive Research and Study Center


The Archive Research and Study Center (ARSC) coordinates on-site research access to the collections of the UCLA Film & Television Archive, including the significant holdings of the Outfest UCLA Legacy Project for LGBTQ Film Preservation, the largest publicly accessible LGBTQ+ moving image collection in the world. The Archive's general collection of over 350,000 holdings also includes thousands of hours of moving images relevant to the study of LGBTQ+ issues, artists and notable people, with network television series and specials, Hollywood and independent feature films, documentaries and news and public affairs programs (including In the Life episodes and production footage) among the types of materials available for research viewing at ARSC.

The Archive's general catalog and News and Public Affairs (NAPA) collection also include individual and collection level records for titles relevant to LGBTQ+ subjects.
