Three Songs about Motherland (2008)

Directed by Marina Goldovskaya

Contemporary Russia's past, present and future are encountered in three different cities of this vast land. From Komsomolsk-on-Amur, a symbol of 1930s Soviet industrialization, to cosmopolitan Moscow to Khanty-Mansijsk, one of the main centers of Siberia's budding oil industry, Russian citizens share their contrasting views of having been part of a glorious past, and of looking forward with aspirations of a prosperous future.
