Directed by Blackhorse Lowe.
Inverting sentimental notions about rural Native life and experience, director Blackhorse Lowe’s first feature unfolds a deceptively simple “boy meets girl” story that soon takes on exponentially greater dimensions. As his characters road trip across the Navajo reservation, their experiences, memories and emotions are suggested by disjunctive editing, disembodied sound and other techniques that privilege states of mind over the quotidian state of affairs.
