The Barker  (1928)

A carnival barker tries to break up a burgeoning romance between his adored son and a sideshow performer.  Completed as a silent, The Barker went back into production so that talking sequences could be added one month before the film's premiere.

35mm, b/w, silent with music and sound sequences, 86 min.  Dir. George Fitzmaurice.  Cast: Milton Sills, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Dorothy Mackaill.

Preserved by the Museum of Modern Art Department of Film and UCLA Film & Television Archive.
