Tired of minding her baby brother, teenage Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) wishes that goblins would take him away—but regrets her wish when it comes true!  To bring him back, Sarah journeys into the otherworldly realm of Jareth the Goblin King (an ethereal, mercurial David Bowie), where puzzles, perils, and puppets await, in this delightfully strange fairytale from Jim Henson.
