Splendor

The Archive and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Los Angeles take the opportunity of this series to pay tribute to the late Italian maestro Ettore Scola with this special screening of his comic and moving ode to the bygone days of moviegoing in a small Italian town.  Marcello Mastroianni delivers a pitch-perfect performance as the owner of the Splendor reflecting back on a life spent in the proverbial dark.
