Dudes  (1988)

“Sick of waiting for the world to end,” three restless New York punks (Jon Cryer, Daniel Roebuck, Flea) pile into a VW bug for California but find discouraging words and much worse waiting for them out on the inhospitable range.  Written by fellow UCLA alumnus Randall Jahnson, director Penelope Spheeris’ punk rock, western, road movie, comedy, action mash-up defies all conventions as it barrels across a subcultural American landscape, from big city mosh pits to wide frontier skies.
