Shot in evocative black and white, the directorial debut of award-winning actor Payman Maadi (A Separation, About Elly) delicately explores the fallout of a marriage that collapses in betrayal and isolation. Roya (Mahnaz Afshar) has long-since settled into a staid domestic routine when she discovers her husband is having an affair. Her faith and trust shattered, Roya withdraws further from the world until the promise of new relationship reignites her passion for life.
