"Queen of the Orange Bowl"

January 13, 1960

In only his second scripted role, talk show legend Johnny Carson stars in this tongue-in-cheek comedy about a beauty queen turned bohemian (Anne Francis) who tries in vain to get her lover (Carson) to take their relationship seriously.  The production was helmed by prolific TV director Paul Bogart, who would go onto direct over 90 episodes of the landmark series All in the Family.

Preserved at UCLA Film & Television Archive from 2" tape master.  Director: Paul Bogart.  Writer: Bob Van Scoyk.  Cast: Anne Francis, Johnny Carson, Glenda Farrell, Frank McHugh, Elizabeth Wilson, Robert Elston, Al Lewis, Nancy Kovack.
