Synopsis

The Reverend Martin Luther King Sr. arrives in Los Angeles the week of October 11, 1963 and has a press conference at the airport. Topics discussed include the March on Washington, the Civil Rights Bill, and the situation in California concerning civil rights. Also, coincidently, King Sr. and Martin Luther King Jr. are in Los Angeles at the same time. King Sr. is on his first visit to Los Angeles in eight years and is visiting the Victory Baptist Church to give the sermon on Sunday, October 13. He is also questioned on the situation in Birmingham and on the tense life that his son leads.
