Synopsis

Reporter Dick Garten covers the 5th annual Festival in Black in McArthur Park. He interviews the chairman of the festival, Charles Reed, who comments on the significance of the event as both an annual celebration and a way to showcase the contributions of Black Americans through exhibits and entertainment. Clip includes shots of the festival, crowd and a ribbon-cutting.
