Announcer introduction: "If Molly's fortunes ever have fallen low, today they've reached the bottom... because Molly is one of those human beings whose whole life depends on the respect of her neighbors. Right now, no one can say what Molly's friends in Lastenbury think because it all hangs on how they react to the story of Grace and George. Of course, when Molly decided to try to reform Grace and George that was a noble thing... but Molly didn't tell the town that Grace wasn't her daughter-in-law... and Molly didn't tell the town that Grace and George were petty thieves. In fact, Molly helped along in the fraud, letting Grace and George collect money from the townspeople for the Delinquent Fund, hoping all along that Grace would see the error of her ways. Grace did. She left with the money and George... and now the whole town knows. The whole town is talking... Listen..."

Announcer close: "It's getting to be obvious that what Rosie feared is going to occur. The town resents the way Molly handled the situation more than they worry about the loss of the money. It's Molly's position in town, the faith people have in her which is in jeopardy..."
