The third volume of Bousquet's monumental and admirable filmography follows the structure and methods of Volume II (1907-1909). A most welcome improvement is in the index, no longer divided according to the years, thus making the information retrieval much easier. Here's another important addition to the reference bookshelf. One still regrets the absence of illustrations taken from the catalogues and the surviving prints; however, given the pace at which Bousquet is heading towards the end of his publication plan, a solution may be envisaged: a final volume entirely made of small reproductions from each film, with the corresponding title and year of release. It would be the ideal climax to an accomplishment for which the scholarly and archival community already feels a debt of gratitude towards its author. (P.Ch.Us.)
