TOUR HISTORIC LOS ANGELES

TOUR HISTORIC LOS ANGELES

The Archive is currently seeking a distributor for its second CD-ROM title, Tour Historic Los Angeles, a co-production between the UCLA Film and Television Archive, the UCLA University Library and Mitsui & Co. (USA), Inc. Tour Historic Los Angeles provides a multimedia view of a city which has grown from a small Spanish pueblo to sprawling megalopolis and dream factory of the world in a little over 200 years. It includes some personal reminiscences from novelist James Ellroy, author of L. A. Confidential. It contains rare archival film footage from the Archive's Hearst Newsreel Collection, and features hundreds of photographs from the UCLA Library's Los Angeles Times Photo Archive. It also features maps, historical essays and quotes, web links, site filmographies and oral history interview excerpts.
