The Archive is renowned for its pioneering efforts to rescue, preserve and showcase moving image media. It is dedicated to ensuring that film history is explored and enjoyed for generations to come.

In the debut of our new video series, "Behind the Screen," Archive Head of Public Programs Shannon Kelley shares film highlights from the 2013 "UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema," screening at the Billy Wilder Theater in Westwood Village.  Kelley also discusses the 20-year history of the film series, the Los Angeles Persian community's embrace of the program, and the series' status in the U.S. as an important and ongoing forum for this vibrant national cinema.
