The celebration of the 50th anniversary of Národní filmovy archiv (National Film Archive) has started by opening a new archive cinema, "Ponrepo", on the 3rd of January, 1993.
In the cinema there are two screening rooms, one with 80 seats, the other - meant for screening of silent films and for lectures - with 60 seats. Both 35 and 16mm films can be shown there.
Specially adapted projectors enable projecting speed of 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 25 frames/sec.
